Five New Gatecrash Cards Revealed, Reviewed

As a Magic: the Gathering enthusiast, I owe a ton to the work that MTG Salvation does with providing spoilers in a very reliable and timely manner.
Recently, five new cards have finally hit the site (yes, it is now safe to look again, there are more on there than just shocks and gates) and the curious are at last given a whiff of the flavor of Gatecrash.

We have one card for Blue and Red and three multicolored ones, two for Gruul and the odd one for Boros.

I've said enough delay at this point that you must have scrolled down already. But since you've toggled back up, let's go survey the loot:

Card 1: Enter the Infinite
This card implies two, closely related words:COMBO and IZZET. It is the case that more of the people in standard are either working control or agro, shoving all the good stuff and card advantage they can shove in 60/15 with a small exception of several mad boys, mostly from Guild Izzet, who are tirelessly tinkering in their card-labs to produce the ultimate, standard combo deck.
This little gift from Gatecrash might be the answer to their cause. I wouldn't be surprised if someone pulled this off a Jace AOT ultimate. Green will also be considered to ramp to this card. Dimir, in the similar light, can not be discounted either.
In R/U/G, one might try to pull off something like: Omniscience - Enter the Infinite - Borborygymos Enraged - landslide your opponents dignity. Paging Boseiju, and, ehem, Beacon of Tomorrows.

Card 2: HellKite Tyrant
If there's one thought that came to mind upon seeing this card its that we will see lots of artifacts become playable if not staple. Additionally, there will be a direction to make use of the mana that is made available by keyrunes. Finally, red is poised to ruin the day of these artificers. Anyhow, flavor on this card is well made with all the raw power and looting involved. This card also increases the presence of Dragons in standard, it may not be a Thundermaw, but you can't it isn't playable either. The card also screams: Mycosynth Lattice!

Card 3: Aurelia, the Warleader
This momma will simply make waves. I can't wait to cast Mark of Mutiny on this baby and nail for a haymaker!
She hits the board likely after a Hellrider and you can help yourselves imagine how much ouch that'll make! Aurelia, where have you been all these expansions!

Card 4: Domri Rade
Gruul players are just chompin' on the bits and pieces to get back at control. This should work well with undying, wolf and beast tokens and that trusty Nightshade Peddler. That ultimate is also lots and lots of gravy. Yumyum!

Card 5: Borborygymos Enraged
Considering this brief spoiler and the current mid-range metagame, there is reason to declare that things will go all out with ramp in Gatecrash. In that context, this legend will be bone-breaking when it hits the board late (yup it could actualy be turn four) at turn five.
Getting this guy involved with Omniscience has been discussed above and I must say is not a remote possibility at all.

That's it for this entry. Please share and like the article if you like it, if you don't then please tell why.
