MTG Gold Rush 2012 Champ pilots Junk Reanimator

Centris Q.C. – Mike Batac emerges champion of this year’s MTG Gold Rush using a Junk Reanimator deck with Caverns, Thrags, Dorks and Angels. After finishing 3rd over all after six rounds of Swiss, Mr. Batac fought his way through UW Flash (Sherwin Aquino) and Bant Control (Werick Pagtakhan) in the quarters and semis respectively. In the finals, Mike and opponent Mikhail Red (who pilots a UWR Flash-midrange deck) agree to calls things quits with a prize split with Red conceding in favor of the newly proclaimed Gold Rush champion.

The Top 64 players from Day 1 received a considerable deal of Return to Ravnica packs and cash given the large number of participants during the eliminations plus owing to the fact that the Swiss process ran six rounds which fetched P200 for every round won.

Alfred Pascual finished 9th overall and almost made it into the quarterfinals.
